First, the good news: the zoo safari dress is DONE!
I just love the little pop of zebra print!
And I also love the red flower buttons (bought from Antiq Rose in Chinatown -- in the same building as the hawker centre and fabric shops).
Oh, and my darling little monkey likes the dress as well.BUT ...
... it is too small for her. Sigh. I'm going to make her another, in a larger size.

Very very cute! I love it! I made a romper for my princess and it was too small cos there was like a 2 month gap between my cutting and sewing sessions. They just grow so fast!
It is just very cute. I am sure the next version will be more perfect than this one. Am glad you have more fabric. Doesn't that seem like a thumbs up for the fabric collector in us?:)
Adey ~ Thank you! Hahahha! Yes, they do grow quickly. For me, there was no lag between cutting and sewing ... I just picked the wrong size because in my mind, my "baby" is always tiny. I forget that she's a growing little girl :-))
Jali ~ Awww, you're so sweet. I've already started on version 2 and have decided to go with View A with a bit of a twirly skirt which the darling monkey will love.
And oh yes on your extra fabric comment. Hahahahahaha!
Thanks, Pauline! :-)) In the end, I made her another version for her zoo trip. But we ended up not actually wearing it to the zoo cos it was too hot. LOL! But she did wear it to her school party.
I'm a momma to a darling little monkey, have a demanding full-time job outside the home, love all things crafty ... and have a terrible weakness for fabric, as my bank account will attest to!
In this blog, I aim to document my fabricaholic adventures and sewing projects here in SIN (the airline code for Singapore).
